END OF SEASON AVERAGE REQUESTS will be mailed out in mid April. Secretaries, please use the sheets that are mailed to you. I realize that it is much easier to just send your league end sheet but this can create problems when the averages are being entered. As long as your bowlers are being listed as: i.e. Fred and Freddie and not Frederick Jr. and Sr., it will continue to be nearly impossible for me to determine which Fred is which for sure. This also applies to nicknames, etc. Our sheets list your bowlers as their names are listed on their sanction cards with their appropriate ID number.
TRIPLE CROWN AND AWARD BY AVERAGE CATAGORY request forms will be mailed along with the average requests. Secretaries, please read the requirements carefully for both of these forms. On the Award by Average Catagory form please note that the award is based on the 2009 - 2010 yearbook average and not their current average in your league.
A notice of our ANNUAL MEETING scheduled for April 10th has been mailed to you. Please get this information out to your bowlers. This is an open meeting that can be attended by any GBUSBCBA sanctioned bowler as well as secretary. Thank you for your cooperation in this, you are our only voice when we try to reach as many bowlers as possible.
AWARDS are being processed by both you and I at an almost alarming rate. With the changes made to the average criteria of the special achievement awards the amount of awards has tripled since last year. We have diligently tried to be as accurate as possible with processing these awards but I am sure that there have been some missed. Please check your records and notify me if there is a bowler who has not received his/her award and I will be glad to research it for you. Please keep in mind that a bowler will only receive an award once a bowling year which means that if he has received the award in another league, he will not receive one if you apply.
