Tournament Rules
1) Bowlers are eligible to participate in this tournament if they have paid their 2011-12 USBC Membership dues thru the GBUSBCBA or if they paid their 2011-12 USBC Membership dues thru another association AND paid their 2011-12 GBUSBCBA co-association membership dues to the GBUSBCBA. A membership card cannot be purchased at the tournament site.
2) Entrants shall use their highest GBUSBCBA Yearbook average for the 2010-11 season. If no GBUSBCBA Yearbook average for the 2010-11 season, entrant shall use their highest current seasons’ GBUSBCBA average for at least 21 games as of January 1, 2012. Otherwise, entrant shall use average of 220. If using the current seasons’ GBUSBCBA average, a written verification of this average, signed by the league secretary, must be provided to the Tournament Director before the entrant bowls.
3) Handicap shall be based on 100% of 220, no maximum handicap.
4) Prize fund shall be returned 100%. Prize ratio shall be at least 1 in 10 for each event.
5) Unlimited multiple participation is permitted. USBC Rule 315 applies.
6) If a bowler has entered an event by the closing date for entries, they can enter that event again based on lane availability.
7) No more than two PBA Members shall be permitted to bowl on a five person team while no more than one PBA member shall be permitted to bowl on a doubles team. A violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
8) Entrants must enter both singles and doubles when entering minor events.
9) SINGLES shall be bowled first in minor events.
10) USBC Rule 319a(2), ten pin up rule, will not apply.
11) In accordance with USBC Rule 319d, entrant must report all prizes which they have qualified for within the last 12 months to tournament management prior to bowling.
12) USBC Rule 319c (Rerating) applies.
13) Team captain shall check in their team and present USBC Membership Cards for all of their team members at least 30 minutes prior to time they are scheduled to bowl.
14) An entry (team, doubles, singles, all events) will receive the highest scratch or handicap cash prize to which they are entitled for that event. If an entry is first in both scratch and handicap in an event they will receive the title, chevron and trophy for both scratch and handicap.
15) USBC rules applicable to sanctioned tournaments apply when not specifically covered by these rules.
16) The Tournament Director shall decide any questions not specifically covered by these rules.
17) 1099 Tax Forms will be issued to each bowler who receives $600 or more in prize funds.
