Message From The President

Greater Baltimore USBC  Association

Greetings Members,

August 1st, 2017 marked the first day of our newly merged local USBC association. The Central Maryland Youth, WBA, and GBBA are now combined into one association called the Greater Baltimore USBC Association.

This merger took large amounts of effort by many members of the outgoing associations and the members of the new board. I would like to thank Charlie Lockridge, the chairperson of the transition committee for ushering us through the process. I would also like to extend my highest appreciation to the transition committee members Linda Semmel, Kia Smoot, Linda Connan, Sandy Biscotti, Kelly Fitzgerald, and Mike Tinney.

The new Association Manager, Sandy Biscotti, has done a monumental job of moving many pieces to the finish line. Sandy's willingness to go the extra mile has helped make for a smooth transition, and her unwavering commitment to the bowlers has ensured we are offering the best services possible.

I look forward to working with the new board of directors as we move forward with our new association. The 25 members of the board are all excited to work with our bowling community supporting our 14 bowling centers, and servicing the leagues and members that make the Baltimore bowling family so great.

The new board is comprised of members from the previous associations and new members from the bowling family. The board veterans bring their years of experience and knowledge of the rich history of our local bowling community, and new members bringing fresh ideas while looking to make their mark on the bowling community.

It is our goal to service our bowling community to the best of our abilities. We will be engaging with our bowlers in new ways by leveraging social media, town hall meetings, and coaching clinics. We are interested in what the members have to say and encourage any Greater Baltimore USBC members to work with our board by joining a committee or volunteering at our events. Together we will energize our community and obtain great success.

See you on the lanes,

Kenneth Brown
President
Greater Baltimore USBC
